Sanchez Exit Looms As PSG Director Arrives London To Finalize Deal

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director, Antero Henrique, is in London to try and tie up a deal for Arsenal striker, Alexis Sanchez.

Le Parisien reports that PSG are determined to land the Chile international this summer, to spearhead their bid for domestic and European glory in the coming campaign.

Sanchez has one year left on his current deal at the Emirates and recently said he would love to play in the Champions League.

Arsene Wenger is confident of keeping hold of the players, but the Gunners are reluctant to let him leave for free in 12 months’ time and could be tempted to cash in.
PSG have also been linked with a world-record swoop for Neymar, and boss Unai Emery said: “PSG wants the best players in the world, who are in the best clubs in the world.”

We Have Taken A Decision On Sanchez - Wenger

Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has insisted that they have taken a decision not to sell Alexis Sanchez this summer and promised to stick to it.

Wenger was quizzed on Sanchez’s future on Tuesday, after the Chile striker admitted he wants to play Champions League football next season.

The Frenchman, talking at a pre-match press conference ahead of a friendly with Bayern Munich, said: “The decision has been made and we will stick to that. The decision is not to sell.”

Reacting specifically to Sanchez’s remarks about the Champions League, Wenger stated it was up to the 28-year-old, to get Arsenal back into Europe’s top competition after missing out last term.

“I don’t give too much importance to things that are translated, you know.

“The whole interview that I got didn’t really mean that.

“The main focus for us is to concentrate on the Premier League and the Premier League for me today is more important than the Champions League.

“We rested sometimes players in the Group stages of the Champions League for the Premier League so that’s become the biggest importance for us.

“For the rest… we played 20 years in the Champions League, that’s 17 years before Sanchez arrived and three years with him so he can get us back in there,” Wenger said.

PSG Renews Bid To Sign Arsenal’s Forward, Sanchez

Paris Saint-Germain is back in the chase for Arsenal forward, Alexis Sanchez.

According to the UK Mirror, the Ligue 1 outfit has contacted the player’s agent after Bayern Munich cooled their interest in Sanchez and are willing to go head-to-head with Manchester City, who are favourites to sign him.

The Chile international has so far refused to sign a new deal with the Gunners and last weekend, he admitted he wants to leave the Emirates, so he can play in the Champions League.

“I want to play in the Champions League. The decision isn’t down to me, I need to wait for Arsenal.

“I’ve made my decision, now I wait for Arsenal’s reply. The idea is to play and win the Champions League. I’ve dreamt about it since I was a kid,” he said.

PSG will feel they have the edge, as Arsene Wenger would be reluctant to sell to a direct Premier League rival.

Alexis Sanchez has admitted he wants to leave Arsenal, so he can fulfill a childhood dream of winning the UEFA Champions League.

According to Radio Sport Chile, the 28-year-old stated this while speaking on a visit to his hometow of Tocopilla, where he went to visit his family and appear at a local football pitch.

“I want to play in the Champions League. The decision isn’t down to me, I need to wait for Arsenal.

“I’ve made my decision, now I wait for Arsenal’s reply. The idea is to play and win the Champions League. I’ve dreamt about it since I was a kid,” Sanchez said.

The striker has one year left on his current deal at the Emirates and Arsene Wenger is adamant he will not be sold.

Sanchez has been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Ozil Tells Sanchez To Remain At Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, has urged Alexis Sanchez not to leave the club this summer.

Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League rivals, Manchester City, in the past weeks.

The Chile international and Ozil are yet to sign new contracts, despite that their current deals expire next year.

Ozil has,however, urged Sanchez to stay.

“I hope Alexis stays but I don’t know what the status is to be perfectly honest,” he told Sky Sports.

“But I value him a lot as a player and he’s very well-suited to the game Arsenal play.

“From a personal view I would really appreciate it if he stays. However, it’s the player’s decision after all and there’s not much more I can comment on that.

“It would hit the team quite hard if he left because he’s a player who always delivers. It would be a setback to winning the title but, in the end, it’s the player’s decision.”

Arsenal are currently in Australia for pre-season and face Sydney FC on Thursday in the first match of their tour.

Wenger Opens Up On His Conversation With Sanchez

Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has denied rumours that Alexis Sanchez told him he wants to leave the Emirates this summer.

Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City in the past weeks and when asked on Tuesday if the 28-year-old has asked to leave, Wenger replied: “No”.

Wenger was speaking at a news conference in Sydney, as the Gunners prepare to begin their pre-season tour without Sanchez, who is on a break after the Confederations Cup.

Amid City’s reported interest, Frenchman remains adamant that he will not sell to a Premier League rival.

“It’s a continuity of what I said at the end of the season,” he stated.

“The easiest way to manage the players in the final year of their contracts is it’s in his interest to do as well as he can.

“Nobody knows today if Sanchez will be in the final year of his contract next season because he can as well extend his contract with us at the start of the season or during the season.

“It’s not necessarily the last year of his contract at Arsenal Football Club.”
