A recently appointed board member, Mrs Titilayo Omotola has rejected
the appointment given to her by Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Governor Bello through a statement credited to the Secretary
to the State Government, Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade had approved the
appointment of 233 officials to head Commissions, Board and Agencies in Kogi
State.
According to the list released by the state government, Mrs
Titilayo Omotola was assigned to Kogi Agriculture Development Project (ADP) as
Part time member.
Mrs Omotola who hails from Kabbu Bunnu Local Government of
the state was among the seven part time members selected to head Kogi
Agriculture Development Project (ADP)
alongside Etudaiye Hussein (Okene), Mahammed Musa (Lokoja), Achimi Shaibu (Ankpa), Mr
alongside Etudaiye Hussein (Okene), Mahammed Musa (Lokoja), Achimi Shaibu (Ankpa), Mr
Simon Dogwo (Bassa), Ayodele Ige Solomon (Mopamuro) and Idris Akowe
(Ajaokuta).
In a statement credited to Mrs Omotola, she said, “I, Mrs
Titilayo Omotola hereby thank political leaders in Kabba/Bunu LGA for finding
me worthy to be considered for appointment as a board member in Kogi State
Agricultural Project.
“My appreciation also to the Executive Governor of Kogi
State, Alh. Yahaya Bello for the appointment.
“However, I humbly request to be excused as I will not be
taking the appointment.
“I wish the government of the state the wisdom to steer the
ship of state in a direction towards peace and progress.
