President Muhammadu Buhari can rule Nigeria even on wheelchair or using crutches, an ally of the president, retired Captain Joseph Mangtup Din, has said.
Captain Din who has been with the president for 53 years, told Daily Trust during his 80th birthday celebration held at his Jos residence at the weekend that the president was capable of taking Nigeria to the promised land.
Reacting to a recent allegation by the Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, that the president was on life support machine, Captain Din urged Nigerians to ignore the governor, whom he said was only looking for relevance in Nigerian political arena.
“I don’t know what is wrong with Governor Fayose. How can he be talking about somebody’s health? Is he a medical doctor? He isn’t qualified to talk about it. I call on people to ignore him. Even if Buhari is walking with crutches he can still rule, until his tenure expires. How can he say Buhari should resign?” he said.
