Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has dashed the hopes of
Henry Onyekuru, who was hoping to complete a move from KAS Eupen to the Premier
League side.
Onyekuru has admitted his dream to play for Arsenal and he
was believed to be close to signing for the Gunners, after they reportedly
agreed to activate his release clause.
The 20-year-old was even due for a medical after the
international break according to one of his representatives, but it has now
emerged that Wenger vetoed the proposed transfer.
Voetbal24.be reports Onyekuru was rejected as a summer
signing by Wenger, with the Frenchman eager to assess him further for a
possible move in January 2018.
