Monaco are desperate to keep Kylian Mbappe at the club and
will offer him a massive pay increase, to persuade him to stay.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season last campaign,
scoring 26 goals as Monaco won the Ligue 1 title and reached the semi-finals of
the Champions League.
He was also named the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year
award.
His brilliant displays have not gone unnoticed and some of
Europe’s big clubs are keen to land him this summer, including Real Madrid and
Arsenal.
But according to Journal du Dimanche (JDD), a French weekly
publication, Monaco will bump his pay packet to €162,000-a-week from a meagre
€18,000.
However, if the player decides to leave France, the club
will hold out for a world-record transfer fee.
