Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, says the state was safer
than Lagos, Kogi, Kaduna, Kano and Benue States.
He stated that kidnappers and murderers ravage communities
on a daily basis in the states he mentioned.
The governor said this Saturday night at an event to mark
the 20th Anniversary of Air France flying into Port Harcourt International
Airport,
Wike noted that Rivers was becoming safer because of the
investments of his administration in the maintenance of security.
He assured that his government would work harder to build on
investors’ confidence to do business in Rivers.
Wike further lambasted opposition leaders engaging in
negative propaganda against Rivers despite being one of the safest states in
Nigeria.
“Investors are coming to Rivers regularly and they are
talking about insecurity. Look at what is happening in Lagos, Kogi, Kaduna,
Benue and Kano States and you will realise that this state is the safest,” he
declared.
