Imo governor, Rochas Okorocha has appointed former Big
Brother Nigeria housemate, Uriel Oputa as an ambassador for Imo state carnival.
Okorocha made the announcement over the weekend at the
homecoming event for Uriel which held at the Imo International Conference
Centre, Owerri.
“Welcome back home and thank you very much for making us
proud. God bless you,” said Okorocha, after inviting Uriel on stage.
He added, “I hereby this morning, officially appoint you,
for this pride you have done to us, the carnival ambassador. God bless you.”
The Imo carnival is a yearly event that was created to
showcase the rich and beautiful cultural heritage of the people.
The Imo carnival holds from December 16 to 31 every year.
It also features fashion shows, exhibitions and music concerts.
