Mrs. Jacinta Ofonyelu of Umuosite Village, Awba Ofemili received a surprise gift of a 2-Bedroon bungalow from the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano. The building is the handiwork of her NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ) programme – Housing for Indigent Widows.
This makes it is a total of nine bungalows built free-of-charge and handed over to lucky beneficiaries she never met before the hand-over. The houses are located at Agulu, Amichi, Amorka, Alor, Awba Ofemili, Enugwu-otu, Nri, Ogbunike, Umunya, while others sites are under construction in other communities across the state.
It is interesting to note that CAFÉ gets no government fund. The projects are funded through donations and support of donors amongst Ndi Anambra, Nigeria and across the world.
