From information available to us, the quick intervention of the Navy, the Police and other security agencies restored normalcy in Ogbaru yesterday where activities of some herdsmen angered a farmer leading to quarrels between the community and the cattle rearers.

Also, the Herdsmen Menace Committee were immediately on ground to settle the differences.
While we share in the pains with the 3 persons that reportedly got hurt in the process, we appreciate the understanding exhibited by the good people of Ogbaru which helped to ensure that no life was lost.
Recall that the Anambra State Government has a very viable template for handling matters arising from herdsmen and their host communities where any farm destroyed or cattle killed is immediately compensated for, thereby promoting peaceful coexistence.
