MEDIA TEAM-OHAMADIKE DISCLAIMER OF DR. ELOCHUKWU AFOKA ON HIS 2017 ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRATION.
The general public is hereby informed that the Media Team-Ohamadike is a group of persons who took interest in the consistent character and good qualities of service to humanity and our society in the personality of Chief Sir (Dr.) Victor C. Umeh, OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo) and decided to show solidarity through the media and support his quest to represent the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial Zone at the Senate.
2. Our attention has been drawn to the sudden declaration to contest the 2017 Anambra State Governorship Election by DR. ELOCHUKWU AFOKA , who incidentally is a privileged beneficiary of the scholarship scheme of CHIEF VICTOR UMEH EDUCATION FOUNDATION. Dr. Elochukwu Afoka claimed that he was given a prophesy by a Pastor that he was going to be the next Governor of Anambra State. Hence, his belief that his action to contest the 2017 Governorship Election for Anambra State was a Divine call.
3. Media Team-Ohamadike humbly brings to the notice of the general public that our Principal, Chief (Dr.) Sir Victor Umeh OFR, Ohamadike Ndigbo years back, was approached by Dr. Elochukwu Afoka appealing to be assisted in furthering his Academic Career. Our Principal, Chief Sir Victor Umeh OFR, in his usual charitable and philanthropic manner accepted and sponsored Dr. Elochukwu Afoka's Higher Education to the levels of Masters and Doctorate Degrees obtained at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. Dr. Elochukwu Afoka is neither Chief Sir Victor Umeh's foster son nor his adopted son.
4. Chief (Dr) Sir Victor C. Umeh OFR, Ohamadike Ndigbo in his usual kind gesture of helping the needy, recommended Dr. Elochukwu Afoka for Political Appointment in the Anambra State Government since he was a PhD. Holder but had no job. Chief Umeh's recommendation was duly considered by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano (AKPOKUEDIKE). Hence, Dr. Elochukwu Afoka, on Chief Umeh's recommendation was appointed to work as the Special Assistant on Political Matters to His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, since year 2014.
5. It is however pertinent to state clearly that Media Team-Ohamadike, as well as our Principal Chief (Dr.) Sir Victor C. Umeh, OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo) have no hands in the said declaration and therefore not in support of the 2017 Anambra Governorship Aspiration as declared by Dr. Elochukwu Afoka, who hails from Aguluzigbo Community in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State. Any person, group of persons, political party and/or religious association(s) dealing with Dr. Elochukwu Afoka in this regard should know that his current Anambra Governorship aspiration does not have the approval of either Media Team-Ohamadike or Chief Sir Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo). We consider the 2017 Anambra Governorship Aspiration of Dr. Elochukwu Afoka as an act of insubordination, disobedience and disloyalty, for which we disassociate ourselves and that of Chief Sir Victor Umeh from it. Our Principal, Chief Sir Victor Umeh OFR views Dr. Elochukwu Afoka's action as insensitive and Irrational as same does not pass any Feasibility Test.
