HRH Alh Muhammade Makwashe Isah (MFR), Emir of Shinkafi confers the People's Senator, Chief Sir (Dr) Victor Umeh OFR, Ohamadike Ndigbo with the highest traditional title, JAGABAN SHINKAFI
Jubilation is currently in the whole Shinkafi Emirate as women, men, children, APGA leaders from Abuja led by the Abuja party Chairman, Hon Ebuka Okoli; party leaders from Sokoto led by the Sokoto state party Chairman, Mr Atiku Ibrahim; Niger state party leaders led by the state Chairman, Alh Musa Aliyu Liman and of course the host chairman, the Chairman of APGA, Zamfara State, Alh Bature Bungudu. Others were the Deputy National Youth Leader of APGA, Comrade Kabiru Usman, members of the state working committee of APGA Zamfara state, members of Board of Trustee of the party, Chief Imam of Shinkafi, Palace Council members, witness an event they describe as first in their history.
Highlights of the event were special ovations and salutations for Chief Dr Victor Umeh who the people eulogized for his landmark achievements reaching to the nooks and crannies of Nigeria as well as the robing of Chief Umeh with the traditional Alkibba and tying his head with the Rawani among others.
Immediately after the presentation of certification, the atmosphere turned into a particular exclamation "SAI JAGABAN" "JAGABAN SHINKAFI " " GREAT IGBO LEADER " " SENATOR OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC "
The Former National Secretary of APGA and the party's governorship candidate for Zamfara state, Alh Sani Shinkafi Wambai, Nwannedinamba of Aguluzigbo disclosed that Jagaban is a very high traditional title meaning "Great Warrior" and only given to great men in history... The only person known to posses such honor is the Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu who was conferred with the Jagaban of Burgu Niger state.
Today we have the Jagaban of the great Shinkafi Zamfara state... In my own opinion, today's Jagaban is the Jagaban we've been waiting for.
