The Archbishop of Enugu Province and the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, His Grace, The Most Revd Emmanuel Chukwuma has commended Gov Willie Obiano of Anambra for promoting interdenominational harmony through his actions noting that the impact of his support to the church is still being felt at Afikpo in Ebonyi State.

Archbishop Chukwuma made this revelation at the dedication of the Grace Court and Chapel of Holy Cross, the Villa Residence of the Bishop of Afikpo Diocese, The Rt Rev Paul Amechi at Umueze, Igboezunu Aguleri.
Governor Obiano had in his brief speech, said that in our individual ways of worship we can all help one another declaring that "I'm a leader for all and not a denomination-based governor."

During his homily, Archbishop Chukwuma announced that he sees no vacancy in Anambra Government House come next year because every visitor to Anambra State easily sees and feels the lasting legacy governor Obiano is putting in place.
Narrating how the State has transformed, in such a short time, to become a haven of peace with lots of infrastructural developments, Archbishop Chukwuma said he has been calling on Nigerians to hurry to Anambra to buy the Anambra Rice which has become the last hope for the people in this recession.

Speaking further, archbishop Chukwuma noted that Gov Obiano's support to the Afikpo Diocese which is under his province is still helping the followers of Christ in Ebonyi State.
"You have not failed to make the church part of your government, do not relent... If God has not helped you, you won't be able to do this; for those who sow in tears, reap with joy," - Archbishop Chukuwma added.

In his vote of thanks, Bishop Paul Amechi narrated how it took him 14 years to complete the house and Chapel recalling that the white cassock given to him by Archbishop Chukwuma many years ago has turned to the people's cassock through the Grace of God.
Thanking Gov Obiano for finding time to attend the dedication service, bishop Amechi said the governor has always been helpful to the church adding that the recent decoration of some religious leaders as Pillars of Interdenominational Harmony stands Gov Obiano out as a leader without borders.

In attendance at the event were aides of the governor led by the Chief of Staff, Prof Joe Asike; bishops of the Anglican Communion and their wives; other members of the clergy; friends and well wishers from Anambra and Afikpo in Ebonyi State as well as the good people of Ivite Aguleri.
