According to reports coming from Kaduna State in Nigeria, a 24-hour curfew has been imposed on Kafanchan town in southern Kaduna as following continued violence in the area which today caused massive protest in the town.
The curfew which was imposed to forestall a breakdown of law and order in the area was announced by the chairman of Jema’a local government area in state, Dr Bege Katuka.
The report suggests that thousands of protesting youth including women and children took over the major streets this morning.
