Yesterday was one of those moments in history when the politics of hatred seized to exist and as a State we celebrated the treasures inherent in the Light of the Nation.
Gov Willie Obiano of Anambra State led the way. Exchanging pleasantries with Dr Obinna Uzor at Amesi town, he showed so much love that observers began to ask if Obinna had joined the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
Then, surprising to many, Gov Obiano arrived Idemili South to attend the traditional marriage of Chief Joe-Martins Uzodike's daughter at Awka-Etiti.
As usual Gov Obiano took time to greet everyone present, canopy by canopy and most times seat by seat.
Like a family radiating love and kindness, Gov Obiano and his wife, Osodieme paused at where Chief Peter Obi was seated, they did not only exchange pleasantries but the first family spent good time chatting and laughing with Obi's wife and children.
While the onlookers were still amazed at the show of uncommon love by the governor and his wife; Sen Uche Ekwunife walked in and the happy moment continued.
We must shun politics of hate... Learning the Obiano example is a good start.
